Aegean Earth Çeşme is a local development initiative with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals at its center, which will shape the next century of the tourism sector in Turkey, and will bring the Aegean Region to its rightful place in the world and enable it to realize its potential.
At the heart of the Aegean Tourism Center Çeşme Project is the Ideal Republican Village designed by Atatürk in 1937. It will be surrounded by gardens where Aegean products will be grown, tourism facilities of different scales and concepts, boutique hotels, universities, event venues for cultural and artistic activities, sports and fairgrounds that will host international tournaments and fairs, and villages focusing on different themes such as gastronomy, health and ecology. With its 27.5 km coastline and forested areas preserved as they are and the culture and history of the region protected, Aegean Earth Çeşme is a big vision project that will develop Çeşme and the Aegean locally.

Görsel revize edilecektir.
The footprint of the Aegean Earth Çeşme, which we aim to set an example for the world in sustainable tourism, was designed by taking into account the nature of the region as a result of detailed research we
conducted together with our expert stakeholders.
According to our research in the region, 26% of the project area is forest, 2% is pasture, 0.3% is wetland, and 5% is the habitat of the Mediterranean monk seal. While 3% of the project was designated as
agriculture and 1% as ecotourism areas, 42% was preserved in its natural state. The floor space where buildings and structures sit is only 0.8%, while the area allocated as soft ground such as golf courses,
parks and gardens of facilities is 19.5%.
Under the leadership of Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, a huge team made great efforts on the project, co-working with scientists, botanical experts, zoologists,
ecologists, geologists from Turkey's most important universities.
Consulting firms with worldwide experience and prestige, public institutions and organizations, country and regional NGOs, merchants, sportsmen, artists, fishermen, shepherds, farmers, local people, in short,
all stakeholders were consulted and involved, and all details of the project were calculated down to the finest detail. 12 transportation experts, 18 urban planners, 5 urban designers, 3 geographical information system experts, 8 sustainability experts, 30 architects and 9 landscape architects have provided service for the project.

Aegean Earth Çeşme is a project designed for the sustainable development of Çeşme, Izmir and the Aegean Region together with all its stakeholders. The theme-oriented villages within the scope of the project are designed as the locomotive of local development.
The Gastronomy Village has a gastronomy university at its center, where academics as well as businesses and scholars will conduct research on the culinary culture of the region, participate in trainings and bring the Aegean culinary culture to the agenda of world gastronomy.
The Good Life Village will host those who want to get away from the big city life and rest their souls with healing rituals unique to the Aegean.
The Wind Village will become an indispensable destination for world surfers by preserving its untouched nature and the surfing culture that forms the identity of the area. There will be no construction along the western coastline where the village is located. Thus, the natural landscape and silhouette of the coast will be preserved.

The Art Village will be one of the most comprehensive, social and productive art campuses ever realized in Turkey. Local and foreign artists will stay, come together in art galleries and create many works with the inspiration of this unique atmosphere. Art Village will have a performing arts and congress center that will host world-class culture and arts events, a University of Architecture and Fine Arts that will train the artists of the future, the largest museum in the Aegean and also a monumental library. There will be a Land Art Park and a 200-acre movie plateau on the upper road of the village. Thus, Çeşme will provide the world and Turkey's movie industry with the opportunity to serve in every field. The slope with a magnificent view where the Art Village meets The Mersin Port will host an amphitheater which is a symbol of the Aegean and Mediterranean, inspired by the originals.
The Animal Village will be a first and an example in the world. Our animal friends will live freely in this village of their own, and animal lovers will be able to safely leave their animals as our guests in this village whenever they want to travel. The village will also provide health services to animals with a pet hospital, veterinarians and ambulance.
Çeşme will become one of the most important sports tourism destinations in Turkey by hosting global tournaments with 180 tennis courts and golf courses within the scope of the project. A veledrome, mountain bike track and a haras area will make Çeşme a meeting point for alternative sports enthusiasts around the world.

The fair, festival and fairgrounds will host many international events in the pleasant climate of Çeşme, bringing together thousands of people from different geographies, cultures, formations, sectors, specialties and interests around a rich culture of life in a common living space, contributing to the Çeşme brand and the Aegean.
Designed with the vision of setting an example for the world in terms of sustainability, Aegean Earth Çeşme was designed with strict principles and important values in mind. First and foremost, the existing texture and biodiversity of the region was preserved and the crop pattern that had been lost over the years was revitalized. During the project design phase, state-of-the-art multispectral cameras and photo traps were used to examine and capture the vegetation and wildlife of the region, including endemic species, in all their richness. Extensive academic studies were initiated to protect and improve the existing diversity.
In order to ensure the supervision of biodiversity control, which has been identified as the primary and indispensable condition of the project, a 'Living Lab' will be established to enable volunteer green-collar workers.

The Agricultural Cooperative and the Aegean Herbs Seed Bank will help to preserve thousands of years of agricultural culture of these lands. The Landscape Bank will serve to preserve the unique biodiversity created by endemic species. Thus we aim to leave these values as a legacy for the future. With the planned composting area, the carbon footprint of the project's lifecycle will be reduced while increasing the productivity of all agricultural areas.
In order to protect water, one of the most valuable resources of the Çeşme Peninsula, we joined forces with Spain's Eptisa, one of our consultant companies that has passed the toughest tests of the global tourism sector, and conducted a scientific study on seawater treatment and reverse osmosis systems.
We have built a smart city infrastructure for sustainable urban life with the expertise of Aselsan for the implementation of scada systems for the use of electric vehicles, smart transportation systems and monitoring of water use.
One of the three universities to be established within the scope of the project focuses on sustainability, one of the most important issues of today and the future, which is among the life priorities of Generation Z. The Green School will train the new generation to take more conscious ownership of nature and the ecosystem, and to take more scientific and result-oriented actions.

Within the scope of the Aegean Earth Çeşme, the most important agricultural products of the Aegean and Çeşme will be protected and the region's global palate will be popularized. Famous agricultural products of the peninsula such as Şevketibostan, Çeşme thyme, Çeşme melon and aniseed will be grown in special areas designed for regional agriculture. A new future will be written for Çeşme's legendary lemon with the lemon gardens and limoncello production facility to be established within the scope of the project.
Ancient Greek vineyards will be restored. Mastic gardens and a mastic processing facility will be established around the Ideal Repuclic Village. This village will also be home to the Garden of Religions, which embraces the Abrahamic religions with the understanding of tolerance that Anatolian lands possess. This garden will tell the world the Sufism philosophy of Rumi with the heartfelt words of Yunus Emre.
Aegean Earth Çeşme is ready to write a new story for the Aegean, Izmir and Çeşme. Aegean Earth Çeşme will add value to life with the vision of embracing all the riches of the region one by one, reviving lost and forgotten values, bringing the Aegean lifestyle and culture to the world stage, solidarity for the sustainable development of the region, and sowing seeds together for the future for new beginnings.
